Cheryl Slean, MA, has a background in science (physics and astronomy), computer science (visual effects) and teaching (University of Washington, Seattle University, UCLA). She began her writing career in theater, where her work inspired both critical acclaim and contempt, some awards and not much money.
Her fiction and nonfiction prose has appeared in Lynx Eye, IT, Parabasis, L.A. Under the Influence, A Women’s Anthology, Swivel, Fiddlehead and elsewhere. Cheryl has been a grateful and committed family caregiver to her father, who died of cancer in 1999, and her mother, currently living with Alzheimer’s disease. | |
