Caring for a loved one - not a senior!
Hey folks! I'm 53 and my husband is 61 - he experienced a major myocardial infarction on May 26, 2008 and was in ICU, then long term care, then rehab, and is now coming home (at my insistence) this Saturday.

Any ideas on who (whom?) to contact for any assistance with regard to finances, insurance, etc.  We live in Denver, CO.

Thanks!

Re: Caring for a loved one - not a senior!
I am 55 and have been taking care of my 65 year old husband for 4 years now. Try your local senior center. They are always willing to help you find resources. As I am the only caregiver for my husband (no kids, family all out of state). I hunt for local help. The senior center hooked me up with local home nursing to give me some me time. The senior center can help you figure out if you are eligible for any free, discounted, aid. Give them a try.
Good luck!
Kat
