Laurie Fronek has been a professional writer and editor since 1993, specializing in health topics. She has published hundreds of articles online and in print about disease prevention and management, mental health, healthcare usage, and wellness, and she was an editor at the Web site OnHealth (now part of WebMD).

Laurie also practices and teaches massage therapy in Seattle, where she lives with her husband. She earned a degree in art history from Smith College in 1992 and completed the Radcliffe Publishing Course in 1993. Outside of work, she enjoys creating art and taking long-distance motorcycle trips.

Her life has been touched by several people with serious illnesses, particularly cancer, and she appreciates the opportunity to provide information and support for caregivers.
